*SIGH* It had to happen eventually.  Last night we waved ta-ta to the adorable Jay Tinker 😦

He’s now free to eat doughnuts and drink coffee with his daughter at his leisure – or maybe not.  Jay tweeted recently that the decorators were in at his soon to open restaurant.  A trip to Southport anyone?

Last night’s episode may have been the BEST EVER.  Spike!  Yvette!  Nurse Gladys!  Legends of BBC comedy were all there and yes, I admit, there were a couple of ‘I thought he was dead’ moments.

I must concur with my learned friend that Tom’s deconstructed pie was a big mistake but he got things back on track with his plate of after dinner mint which went down a treat.  We all know that, in the world of Masterchef, it’s better to have tried and failed than to have never try at all.  Many have fallen by the wayside with a classic and competently cooked dish – those with ideas and natural instincts go much farther even if their technical ability is a bit slow to catch up.

In brief:  Shelina continues to storm through to finals week.  Can anyone stop her?
Andrew is a classic ‘one too many ingredients’ man although I’m sure he’ll sort it out just in time.  Tom needs to keep his timing in check and maybe he might be the one?

A highlight of the show was Andrew’s squeaky rolling pin, very funny.

*BORING DREAM ALERT* So, after a lovely night out, I returned home & watched the first of this week’s MC at midnight – rock n roll. I think Tom’s fish incident must’ve had a deep effect on me (or maybe it was the wine) as I proceeded to dream that everything he did in finals week went tits up. There was something involving a fridge ….. Tom, keep it together – you have been warned!
